Ronald "Ronnie" Wade Helmly, 44, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2009 from a short illness. Ronnie was the son of Shirley and Joshua Helmly. He was a loving son, beloved brother and lifelong friend with a big heart. He was loved and will be missed, but not forgotten. His sister, Cheryl Renee Finch, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his mother, Shirley, father, Joshua both of Savannah; four sisters, Tonia Hampton of Savannah; Rhonda Harris of Tarboro, NC; Sheila Flathmann of Sylvania, GA; Jill O'Connor of Savannah and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 23, 2009 in Bonaventure Cemetery.
